This is a detailed guide on how to sign up to Fiverr, create gigs and start earning today.
CREATING A FIVERR ACCOUNT
To create a Fiverr account, you’ll need a valid email address and a reliable internet connection.
Go to the Fiverr page at Fiverr.com, and there you’ll find a pop-up window where data can be put in.
Note that there are three different ways to start creating your account; through Facebook, Google connect or with your Email.
If using an email, enter your address in the box provided and then click “Continue”.A page will be brought up where you can enter your password and username. Note that you cannot use a particular username if has already been acquired by another user. For instance, you cannot use the username “GREG” if someone already used it.
Also, your username will be the name displayed within your Fiverr URL, so choose a suitable username that will, as closely as possible, reflect the service you intend offering. Your username can be up to a maximum of 15 characters and cannot contain special characters. Also, note that your username cannot be changed once your account is activated.
After entering your password and username, click “Join”.
You’ll be sent an email to activate your account, go ahead and activate your account and you’re now fully registered on the Fiverr Platform.

How To fill out your Fiverr seller profile:
Step 1: Personal Info
Fill out your full name.
In the Profile Picture section, add an image of yourself.

Step 2: Professional Info
In the Occupation field, select your expertise.
In the Skills section, let your buyers know your skills. These may be skills gained through your previous jobs, hobbies, or even everyday life. You also have the option to suggest skills.
In the Education section, select when and where you attended college. You also have the option to suggest your diploma if it’s not listed.
In the Certification section, listing your honours and awards can help you stand out from other sellers. You also have the option to suggest certifications.
In the Personal Website field, enter your URL.
Step 3: Linked Accounts
In the Linked Accounts section, link your social and professional networking accounts to your Fiverr account. You may select more than one.
Note: Your personal information will remain private and will not be displayed to the buyer.
Step 4: Account Security
In the Email field, click Verify Now and continue with the process.
In the Phone Number field, click Verify Now and continue with the process.
When finished, click Continue & Create Your First Gig.

HOW TO CREATE A GIG ON FIVERR
To create a gig, you need to log in to your account using a computer. Although there is a Fiverr app for mobile devices, you can only create a gig using a computer. When you log in to your account, follow these steps to create your gig
STEP 1: On your homepage, click on “Selling” and then click on “Gigs”
STEP 2: After clicking on ”gigs” then click on “create a new gig”
STEP 3: Create your gig title, gig category and search tags.
GIG TITLE: Your gig title describes the service you want to render on Fiverr. Your gig title can not be more than 80 characters . You would want to make sure you have a unique gig title in order to stand out from the crowd, to make your gig stand out from the numerous gigs on Fiverr.
CATEGORY: There is a wide range of up to 200 categories on Fiverr. These include categories like; Writing and Translation, Graphics and design, video and animation and so on. While choosing your gig category, you would want to make sure your gig really falls under the category you chose as it cannot be rectified after gig creation.
After choosing your category, you will be required to choose a subcategory that relates more to the service you want to render.
SEARCH TAGS: Fiverr gives sellers the opportunity to choose up to 5 search tags. To get your gigs noticed, you will have to choose search tags that contain keywords which the clients/ buyers frequently search for.

STEP 5: WRITE YOUR GIG DESCRIPTION AND FAQ
Your gig description is very important. Gig descriptions are limited to 1200 characters. You would want to make your gig description as detailed and descriptive as you can. This goes a long way to determine the success of your gig.
Note: You can browse through gigs of professionals and experts on the site to see how they wrote their gig description. But be careful not to copy their gig description word for word as Fiverr may deny your gig of search visibility and might even demote your gig ranking. You can also add Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). This is so as to address any question that your clients may have.
STEP 6: ENTER YOUR GIG REQUIREMENTS
This is where you request from your buyer all of the detail you require from them before you can make a start. You can define instructions for your buyer as free text, a multiple-choice question, or a file upload.
In REQUIREMENT #1 field, enter the details of your requirements.
In the Answer Type field, select either Free Text, Multiple Answer, or Attached File.
Note: If you select Multiple Answer, answer fields will be displayed. Fill out the multiple choice answers you want the buyer to select. You also have the option to allow more than one answer.
If you require the buyer to provide the information you selected, mark the Answer is a mandatory checkbox.
When finished defining your buyer requirements, click Save & Continue.
STEP 7: ADD PHOTOS OR A VIDEO : You can add either an image or a video to your gig gallery, but while adding a video, you would want to make sure the video is of high quality, as a blurred video might be a total turn off for your clients. Fiverr gives you the opportunity to add either an image, a video or a PDF file to your gig gallery.
STEP 8: PUBLISH YOUR GIG:
This is the last step on gig creation. Once you click on the “Publish gig” button, your gig becomes visible to clients searching for services in your category.
